Lupus Engineering Services undertake third party verification for marine renewable energy devices and associated novel technology.
Our review process is to identify key risks associated with the device primary structure from mooring components to the hull, substructure, tower, nacelle, installation tools e.t.c. We look at the structural aspects of both strength and fatigue and use this to guide our response and advice to our respective clients.
As well as providing assurance to stakeholders our review processes add value by identifying key technical risks that can be mitigated before issues can arise.
We also undertake verification analysis work in circumstances where the clients chosen certifier has rejected designs because of insufficient evidence of code compliance, for example, by using non-linear FEA to demonstrate that code factors of safety have been met.
