Sea Fastenings

Lupus Engineering Services Ltd undertake the full set of equipment design and associated sea fastening calculations required for barge mobilisation such as:

- Gantry design and support
- Cage design and support
- Towing Point design and support
- Cable Engine support
- Crane support & de-rating curves for the use of land based cranes offshore.

Typically this invloves calculation of vessel motion loads for various sea states as well as dynamic amplification factors as appropriate. Wind conditions, operational loading, as well as world wide storm conditons are also considered on a case by case basis.

All calculations and design are carried out for approval by the respective certifying authorities.

In addition we have also provided engineering design input for installation equipment such as:

- Sand Anchors
- Ploughs
- Concrete plynth bolting arrangements

We favour large feet (seen here) with EMZ poperties as they are most adaptable to varying kinds of underdeck reinforcement available on a range of barges.
